Function: Primarily a sicence vessel but it is well equipped for defensive/offensive confrontations.

Crew Complement: 2000 (1500 Enlisted, 500 Officers)

Armaments: Six Class 9 phaser banks, 14 plasma banks, 2 Antimatter particle arrays, 16 torpedo tubes (8 forward, 8 aft), 4 Anti-ship missile pods, 20 light anti-surface cannons, 600 combat fighter planes/shuttles

Armor: Triterium alloy, Arterium plating (Limited to key areas of the ship such as the bridge and warp nacelles)

Description:
Polerons were lightly used during the second Dark Army war in 3020, but they were capable warships of their time. Around the end of the war Trenalk was the first ship to be christened under the Poleron class name and served until her initial decommissioning in 3041. Polerons were designed to be long range science vessles and explorer type ships but since the Malderran Empire had declared war on Maldoria the weapon systems on these ships had to be tweaked. Much like the Derrivon, the Poleron class fleet was the most sought after by the enemy since it was the most advanced ship in the Maldorian fleet.
