Normally one would be enough to eradicate a small town or village, but in metropolitan areas, three would be in orbit around the area. New Los Angeles had about 5 of them attacking, launching fighters, firing heavy cannons and deploying troop pods. Kraegen's are equipped with 40 drop pods, two heavy cannons, three icoleddic pulse turrets and one torpedo launcher. They can destroy a building and a small scout type ship but not a cruiser or battleship.
